‘The Penguin Pool’ is a series of events organised globally by the engineering and design giant Arup, targeted at the creative community, to encourage new connections, inspire and entertain.
Organised this time in Cape Town, South Africa, the event explored the secret life of objects. The concept for the printed invite and other collateral was developed around a penguin origami and how it comes to life out of a colourful pattern its folding creates on the paper.
A deliberately rough stop motion animation with a subtle witty touch was also emailed out to guests as a calendar reminder before the event.
